Services

Here are a list of the different modalities I have been trained in. During a session we will establish your areas of concern and briefly discuss my approach and techniques that will used. My prices are determined by the length of our session, not by the style. Cupping and Gua Sha can be added on by request for no additional charge. I currently offer 1hr, 1.5hr, and 2 hour sessions. (Mobile sessions only)

Manual Therapy (Myodetox)

This technique requires a dryer application compared to your typical massage (little to no oil) and usually involves your interaction under my guidance. I was trained by a group of physical therapists along with Tom Meyers in Costa Rica and Canada to look at the body with a macro lense with the understanding that everything is connected. An example would be the pain in your left hip has something to do with the restriction in your right shoulder, so I would work to find the root cause which might lead me to your right ankle you sprained when you were 17.

Thai/ Stretch Session

Most of my clients love this style infused into their sessions. Your body is taken through a wide variety of passive stretching movements that are slow and in rhythm with your breath. If you live more of an active lifestyle we will explore the end ranges of your flexibility while incorporating PNF stretching. I use many different parts of my legs and arms in this style which offers unique pressure techniques. This style in not recommend for people with hyper-mobility especially in the rib and shoulder areas.

Cupping

Cupping is an ancient treatment used to help alleviate chronic muscle tightness and pain. It is believed that cupping helps to release stagnation by bringing new blood flow to areas that have been restricted. I have many clients request their back, neck, and legs to be cupped but have also done chest, arms, hands and feet before. Some of my clients have stated cupping can give them an extra 4-6 days out of my massage! Keep in mind cupping marks will be present from 1-3 weeks after a session.

Gua Sha

The benefits to scraping include: relieves muscle tension, boost blood circulation, and promote lymphatic drainage. The most common question I receive about Gua Sha would be, "Does it hurt?". My response to this is this: You should always be able to breathe and relax into this technique. Some videos will show therapists applying fast and deep force completely overriding the clients nervous system. That is definitely not my style! My favorite areas to use this technique on are: neck, shoulders, and in between shoulder blades. I have applied this to almost every area of the body including ankles, IT Bands, forearms, and feet.

Lymphatic Massage

The lymphatic system plays an important role in our immune response. When it faces blockages or less than ideal functioning things such as fluid retention, infections, swollen glands, etc can occur. This style of massage requires much more oil than my other styles. Lymphatic drainage is an invigorating and energizing massage where some clients have said they feel like they want to move and go run a mile after. I incorporate this into sessions when clients tissues feel inflamed, recovering from a sickness, or swollen glands. I do not perform post-op lymphatic drainage. It is also critical the recipient is well hydrated prior to receiving this modality.
